Alison has been working as a lecturer in health and social care and science at Craven College since 2015. Before that she worked in the social care sector. She has managed a residential care home and home care services. She also set up her own home care agency. |

About the qualification
OCR’s Level 3 Cambridge Advanced National in Health and Social Care is a new qualification designed for students aged 16 to 19, set to commence in September 2025. This qualification aims to equip students with the essential knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for progression to undergraduate study in health and social care fields.
Qualification Structure:
The qualification is offered in two sizes:
Vicki Jonston, author of AAQ Health and Social Care
- Certificate (180 Guided Learning Hours – GLH): Equivalent to one AS Level.
- Extended Certificate (360 GLH): Equivalent to one A Level.
These can be taken alongside complementary A Levels to create a balanced programme of study.
